Q. Will this device convert Dolby Digital?

A. No it will not convert Dolby Digital but on a lot of products you can change the settings. Let me explain. The most common problem we have seen is a change in setting on your device your trying to decode. As advertised this device converts LPCM is Linear Pulse Code Modulation, which is a method of encoding audio information digitally. Sometimes we have seen that customer have their systems set to Dolby Digital. THIS SETTING MUST BE CHANGED on the device your trying to convert.
PLEASE CHECK THIS BEFORE YOU ORDER.
Most of DVD players and other devices support LPCM or other setting. You need to get into the menu of the device and adjust Dolby Digital to LPCM or other by using Remote control in most cases.
Please check this before you order.

This CAT 5 / Cat 6 active extender kit extends Component Video and digital Audio up to 328ft. By using basic or shielded cat 5 or cat 6 cables extenders long distance distribution of video and audio as well as controlling the devices through the integrated IR repeater.

Our units use the industry standard simple plug in RJ45 connector commonly found on Cat 5 Cat 6 network cables for easy installation.

IR system Includes – IR receiver and 1 dual IR emitters that deliver commands to 2 components, expandable up to 4 devices. The integrated IR-Repeater is made up of a receiver that picks up the signal from your remote, and emitters for sending the signals to the components.
Working with Plasma and LCD Displays – Although not designed to reject interference from plasma or LCD TVs, you can work around this by installing the IR receiver eye in an area that isn’t exposed directly to the TV screen – at the back of a bookshelf, on the wall below or next to the TV
The IR repeater and dual IR emitters to control 2 devices connected to the device. You can purchase an additional Dual IR emitter to control another 2 devices in our store.
