The FRDN/PC-POD(2) from Precision Interface Electronics interfaces an iPod directly to the factory radio in select Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury vehicles, and takes the place of the Ford CD changer. The interface retains the ability to use the iPod’s screen and controls as well as provide basic operation through the CD changer controls of the factory radio (i.e. play/pause, track up/down, fast forward/rewind). The interface provides digital quality iPod sound and charges the iPod at the same time.

The FRDN/PC-POD(2) plugs into most 2000-05 Ford CD Changer Control Radios with 20-Pin harness at the back of the radio.

I have a Ipod Touch with the Skydock for XM satalite reception. On the Skydock, you have the option to use either the FM transmitter or the 3.5mm output. For a while, I used the 3.5mm output to a cassette adapter for my stock radio. I went thru two cassette adapters in 6 months. It was annoying to be listening to music, then the tape player would think it is at the end of the cassettte tape and auto reverse. This kills the music and the mood.

The PIE TOY-AUX plugged right into the back of my stock stereo for my 2000 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner. It makes the stereo believe it is equipped with a CD changer. I also had a 3′ long RCA to 3.5mm cable. Installation was a breeze. I connected the RCA to 3.5mm adapter to the unit & ran the cable under the ashtray to my Skydock 3.5mm output. The stereo display thinks it is constantly on disc 1 at 0 minutes & 0 seconds, but its not anywhere near as distracting as it may sound. Sound quality is great.
